Vanessa Diez is a first-generation Masters Student working towards her MPA- Policy & Administration with a concentration in Emergency Management. She has worked in social service for a decade serving low income families and refugees. On most weekends you can find her working with the American Red Cross as a Disaster Responder throughout the five boroughs of New York City. Vanessa’s interests include reading, running, traveling and of course, eating delicious foods!
While working with IGEPS, Vanessa published an op-ed in the Latino Rebels, Understanding Sponsorship Challenges for Unaccompanied Migrant Children, and a fact sheet for the Scholars Strategy Network Disparities in Immigration Policy for Unaccompanied Children and Minor Refugees.
