Denessia Argueta
Graduate Fellow
Denessia Argueta is a second-year graduate student in the MPA program, specializing in management and operations. She is expecting to graduate in spring 2027. She has gained public-sector experience through internships with the NYC Mayor’s Office of Operations and the City Council. During her internship with the Mayor’s Office, she evaluated the performance of city agencies and their compliance with the NYC administrative code. During her time with the City Council, she was a legislative intern and conducted policy research to support legislative bills. These experiences strengthened her interest in better understanding the administrative side of government and how agencies, departments, and public services work together to develop and implement public policy. Outside of her academic interests, she enjoys swimming, reading, and playing basketball.
